The ‘Risk of Paradoxical Embolism (RoPE) Score’ is used to estimate the risk of a patent foramen ovale (PFO) in certain stroke patients. The validity of the RoPE score was tested using data from the NIS registry. Researchers from St. Pölten University Hospital took part in the analysis. The results have been published open access in the Journal of Cardiovascular Development and Disease.
