The Austrian Science Fund´s Wittgenstein Award is aimed at outstanding researchers from all disciplines and, at 1.9 million euros, is the most highly endowed individual funding award in Austria. Outstanding careers are honoured in order to further promote research activities at the highest international level.
Prerequisites are
- high international reputation
- significant contributions to the development of the research field
- Permanent employment at an Austrian research centre
- Centre of life in Austria
- Age max. 60 years at the nomination deadline
- Nomination by a specific group of people
Deadline for nomination is 19 September 2024.
