Prof. Dr. Julia Mascherbauer, head of the Division of Internal Medicine 3 at the University Hospital St. Pölten, summarises the known effects of cannabis on the cardiovascular system in her review in the Central European Journal of Medicine. She provides medical professionals with a good overview of the side effects of cannabis that have been little researched. With the increasing legalisation and therapeutic use of cannabis, it is becoming more and more important to be aware of side effects and to take them into account.
