A specially designed laboratory infrastructure was created for the Division of Water Quality and Health in the course of the planning and construction work in the new KL University building.

Key technologies in the laboratory currently represent molecular biology (DNA & RNA diagnostics) and cytometric analysis of microorganisms (e.g. fluorescence activated cell sorting).

The laboratory equipment of the Division of Water Quality and Health is specialised in molecular biology, microbiomics, cytometry, cultivation and microscopy.

In addition to the Division of Water Quality and Health, the laboratory also houses the Divisions of Physiology, Pharmacology and Oncology.
