KL Krems takes 2nd place: Family-friendly Company Lower Austria 2024

The Karl Landsteiner Private University of Health Sciences was awarded 2nd place in the non-profit organisation category of the Lower Austrian state competition "Family-friendly company".

With its active commitment to a family-friendly working environment, KL Krems is now one of the best-practice companies in Lower Austria. The award ceremony for the 15 best-placed companies took place on 16 May 2024 in St. Pölten.

KL Prorector Sabine Siegl, who accepted the award together with Head of HR Christina Schwaiger and HR employee Martha Hudetz, is delighted with the recognition: "We not only promote academic excellence, but also a supportive environment for our employees. We want to improve the measures we have already implemented by exchanging ideas with other companies in order to position ourselves as an attractive employer that takes the needs of its workforce seriously."

During the event, Christiane Teschl-Hofmeister, Provincial Councillor for Families, emphasised: "All 58 participating companies are implementing attractive initiatives to support the compatibility of family and career and to implement family-friendly offers for their employees. 15 of them stood out in the five different categories. I would like to warmly congratulate all of them and hope that their exemplary attitude will set an example for many other companies in our province."

Wolfgang Ecker, President of the Lower Austrian Chamber of Commerce, explains: " Family friendliness in companies has a positive effect on all sides: Employees can better reconcile work, childcare and caring requirements and are therefore happier and more focussed.
