On 3 June 2024, the first INTA symposium took place at the Linz campus of the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria on the topic of "Technology in old age: possibilities and limits of AI and big data". Around 28 network partners from all over Austria took part in the event - including co-founder of INTA, Univ.-Prof. Dr phil. habil. Giovanni Rubeis, Head of the Division of Biomedical Ethics and Healthcare Ethics at KL Krems, as well as Dr Vera Gallistl and Katrin Lehner BA MA from the Division of Gerontology and Ageing Research at KL Krems.

KL erhält Akkreditierung für PhD-Programm „Mental Health and Neuroscience“

Karl Landsteiner University of Health Sciences in Krems (KL Krems) has successfully received accreditation for its first PhD programme "Mental Health and Neuroscience". On 16 February 2024, the Agency for Quality Assurance and Accreditation (AQ Austria) legally approved KL Krems' application to establish the doctoral programme. The University of Health in Lower Austria has thus set another key milestone in its academic study architecture.

Von 19. bis 23. August 2024 findet wieder der Event "FIT4YOUniversity" am Campus Krems für Jugendliche zwischen 14 und 19 Jahren statt. Auch die Karl Landsteiner Privatuniversität ist wieder Projektpartnerin der IMC FH und bietet den teilnehmenden Jugendlichen im Rahmen von drei spannenden Workshops die Möglichkeit, Hochschulluft zu schnuppern und Wissenschaft und Forschung im Bereich Medizin und Psychologie an der KL hautnah mitzuerleben.

The ‘2nd World Forum on Particle Therapy’ brings together the world's leading experts and decision-makers in particle therapy from institutes in Europe, the USA, Asia and Australia. The aim of the conference is to find a common vision for radiotherapy with particles, to discuss strategic directions for the development of the field on a global level and to reach a consensus on the main directions for the coming years. A publication will follow the conference. The Mayo Clinic and the MD Anderson Cancer Center are acting as international partners of the forum, while the Karl Landsteiner University of Health Sciences is the local partner for the organisation of the forum in Krems.
