Infra-patellar fat pad-derived mesenchymal stem cells
... maintain their chondrogenic differentiation potential after arthroscopic harvest with blood-product supplementation
Recent publication
Stem cells obtained during knee arthroscopy are used therapeutically in orthopaedics. Physicians from the Clinical Division of Orthopaedics and Traumatology at Krems University Hospital investigated whether the collection process influences the viability and thus the cells' regenerative potential and whether the addition of selected blood products can improve the therapeutic potential. The work was published open-access in the journal "International Orthopaedics".
