Annual Meeting of the Austrian Physiological Society

On Friday, June 30th, 2023, the Karl Landsteiner University, represented by Prof. Gerald Obermair and his team (Division of Physiology), serves for the first time as host for the annual meeting of the Austrian Physiological Society (APS). The APS is a scientific association dedicated to the advancement of research and teaching activities in the wide field of physiology, the science of life. The annual meeting brings together more than 40 scientists and teachers from Austrian physiology institutes, with a particular focus on the medical universities (Vienna, Graz, Innsbruck, Salzburg, Linz and Krems). The conference program hence provides updates on the respective research activities, for example in vegetative physiology and neurophysiology. Furthermore, the annual meeting provides a platform for early career scientists (Master and PhD students and Postdocs) to present and discuss their findings in front of an international scientific audience. Finally, the APS meeting helps establishing and strengthening national networks supporting joint research and teaching activities.
