Structural Complications Following ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction
An Analysis of the National Inpatient Sample 2016 to 2020
Recent publication
International experts analysed the frequency of structural complications in acute STEMI (ST elevation myocardial infarction) in the American "National Inpatient Sample (NIS)" database. The researchers compared the mortality rate, length of hospitalisation and healthcare costs between patients with and without structural complications. The work, in which Dr Maximilian Will and Dr Konstantin Schwarz, PhD, from the Division of Internal Medicine 3 at St. Pölten University Hospital were involved, has been published open access in the "Journal of Cardiovascular Development and Disease".
